It is the Mission of the Lions High School Counseling Program to provide a data-driven, comprehensive, and developmentally appropriate school counseling program that fosters academic development, social and personal growth, and career exploration and assists all students in their journeys of becoming effective students, responsible citizens, and lifelong learners.

Vision:

Lions High School graduates are lifelong learners who possess the essential problem-solving abilities, academic capabilities, and socio-emotional skills necessary to thrive in their post-secondary pursuits.

ALL LHS students have inherent value and deserve to be respected, treated with dignity, and have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that affirms and advocates for all students from diverse populations (regardless of ethnic/racial identity, nationality, economic status, abilities/disabilities, social class, gender, sexual orientation, immigration status, age, etc.)
Each student is capable of learning and achieving academically when properly nurtured and encouraged.
Every LHS student should graduate prepared for post-secondary opportunities.

Our Role at Lions High School

Us school counselors lead advocate and collaborate to promote equity and access for all students by connecting our school counseling program to Lions High School s academic mission and school improvement plan ASCA 2023 We uphold the ethical and professional standards of ASCA and promote the development of the school counseling program based on the following areas of the ASCA National Model define deliver manage and assess ASCA 2023
